Get Together on 28th December 2008

Friends we have decided to have the get together of CMS College late 80's and early 90's on 28th of December 2008. The venue (of course in Kottayam only) and details will be published later. Please be in touch with me through this site. You can mail me at kiranmusiczone@yahoo.co.in or kirancatwalk@gmail.com We are expecting a lot of our friends. Why this much late is because people who are outside will get plenty of time to plan their visit and December is the time when NRIs will come down to Kerala. And most of our friends are NRIs.

Director Anup Kurian

Hope you all know Anup Kurian (remember The Sword (Kathi) of Anup Kurian). He is now a very famous Director. He has won amny awards:-
Aravindan Puraskaram for the Best Debut Director In India, Asian New Talent Prize - Shanghai International Film Festival - 2005 , Best Picture & Special Jury Prize - International Film Festival of Mumbai (IFFM/MAMI) - 2005 ,"Gollapudi Srinivas National Award" for Best Debut Director, Fukuoka International Film Festival, Japan - 2005Official Selection , - London Film Festival - Closing Film - Asian Film Festival, Auckland Let's feel proud of him.So three cheers for him. The 2008 Old Students Meeting was held on college campus today. Compared to other years the particpants were more but not many from our batch. From our batch I could see only Javeen and his wife (both from Economics). From our seniors I met Antony (Lit) , Teddy & Gigo. That's all.

Get Together

Friends we are planning for a get together. Not yet decided when. But this year sure to happen. Either in May or in December.

Alumini Association Annual Day Celebration

The CMS College Alumini Association annual day celebration is on 26th Jauary 2008. Although the get toghether will be a get together of the very old Aluminis (1960 & 70's batches) , hope this year it will be better. Last year I could find only one of our batch mates Mr. Javeen of Economics who is a Municipal Councillor now. Hope to see a few there at the party. Watch out this site. I will try to upload some photos of the celebrations.

Teachers who passed away.

People who studied at CMS can't forget Elias sir (nick named Kanji Elias) . He was a very funny character and a very lovable person. Elias sir passed away two years before owing to cancer. Mohan Kurian sir(fat guy)- Physics Dept, Premchand Sir - Chemistry Dept, Unnithan sir - Maths Dept, Mollykutty Teacher - Chemistry Dept also are in the list of teachers who rest in heaven.

For our dearest Beeta

Friends, hope you remember Beeta Koshy who studied in Zoology (friend of Rincy, Zeena & Cini) during 1989-92. Beeta was a very sweet, cute girl. After our college years I haven't seen her. Last year I read in news paper that she passed away. It was so shocking to hear that. She was unmarried. Let's pray for her soul.
